Welcome to Patras
For the first time, a Greek region hosts the annual meeting of the WHO Regions for Health Network. The Region of Western Greece is proud to welcome delegates from across Europe this November.
We will share how our region works on mental health, health promotion and healthy ageing, take you to see some of the services behind that work, and agree together on the Network’s next steps.

Scope and purpose
What the meeting sets out to do
The Regions for Health Network has connected regions across the WHO European Region since 1992. Its 31st annual meeting focuses on how regions and cities shape health policy.
- Review progress on health governance at regional and local level.
- Show local practice through site visits to initiatives in Western Greece.
- Foster exchange among regional leaders, policy-makers and practitioners.

Arrivals, registration and welcome reception

Official opening, plenary and thematic sessions on mental health and health promotion. Speed networking in the afternoon.

Healthy ageing session, site visits in Western Greece and the RHN business meeting

Endorsement of the Western Greece Declaration, closing session and visit to Ancient Olympia
The road to Patras
From Brussels to Patras
Each year a different region hosts the Network's annual meeting. In Patras, on 27 November, member regions will endorse the Western Greece Declaration, following the Andalusia Statement and the Trieste Statement.

Places are by invitation, for focal points and political representatives of member regions. There is no registration fee.
